We are glad you are here!
CrossWinds offers counseling sessions for children of all ages that provides the opportunity to talk or play out what they’re feeling. We equip children and their families with the tools to address the social, emotional, or behavioral health issues in the most caring, supportive, and effective way possible.
Additionally, CrossWinds operates a preschool in Emporia for children from 3 years old to Kindergarten-ready that are struggling in their current environment for social, emotional, and behavioral health problems. We strive to prepare children for success in a less restrictive classroom by the time they enter Kindergarten. By using the Conscious Discipline curriculum, we help children with essential behavioral and emotional skills.
Our Philosophy
At this age, kids express themselves not through words, but through play. At CrossWinds, we believe in following the child’s lead while teaching them how to recognize their emotions and use their coping skills to calm themselves.
The whole child approach.
From the individual child’s brain and body connection to entire family functioning, CrossWinds believes in a whole child approach.
Benefits include:
Play and talk therapy.
When preschool-aged children attend therapy they are given the chance to talk or play out what they’re feeling. We equip children and their families with the tools to address their social, emotional, or behavioral health issues in the most caring, supportive, and effective way possible.
CrossWinds provides a safe, caring, and confidential environment for you and your child to share what you’re going through. Call CrossWinds today and let’s start the conversation!
