  • Additional topics & questions
  • How can a stranger help us?
  • Our therapists are trained professionals working to build trust with the couple and create a safe environment for both parties to participate. The therapist is there to treat the relationship and not the individuals separately. Their goal is to guide and set the framework as the couple does the work to promote change.
  • How do we pay for services?
  • CrossWinds accepts many different insurances, including private insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare. Uninsured clients may qualify for sliding scale fees based on household size and income. You will be asked during registration to provide insurance information and proof of income in order to determine your rate of payment. Fees vary based on the services you receive.
  • How long are therapy sessions?
  • Therapy session vary in length depending on the issue or the interventions that the therapist chooses to introduce. An average length of a session is 30-60 minutes.
  • What are some of the issues / concerns you cover?
  • Every couple or family reports to a session with topical issues stemming from children, family, intimacy, infidelity, divorce, finances, and more. Regardless of what brings you to counseling, the specific content is not the primary focus. The goal is to identify the process that will repair the relationships, rather than continuing the destructive pattern focused on a specific topic. Couples and families will be given the tools to identify needs, communicate, process, and implement change as they work through each topical issue in their daily life.
