Presenter Bio

April Crable received her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision and her Masters in Community Counseling from Regent University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of New York and Virginia; Dr. Crable is also a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in Virginia. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the states of Arizona and Florida. Additionally, Dr. Crable is also a National Certified Counselor. Over the past several years, she has worked in various positions with in the field of mental health, to include training hundreds of licensed counselors and social workers nationally on clinical ethics. Dr. Crable has clinical experience in providing crisis intervention, substance abuse counseling, sexual abuse counseling, domestic violence counseling, psychiatric and residential group care. She provides clinical supervision to graduate students seeking licensure and is a Professor at Liberty University. Her research interests are in Counselor Education and Supervision, boundaries and ethics, self, burnout, sexual abuse and trauma, domestic violence, women issues, military families, and online education.
