CASE MANAGER (COUNCIL GROVE)

CASE MANAGER position available assisting adults and children in achieving individualized treatment, recovery, and personal growth goals through delivery of case management services. Duties include providing individual case management to adults and children, working as part of a treatment team, identifying appropriate community resources, and maintaining accurate records.

The Case Manager position is based in Council Grove, Kansas and will report to the Region II Manager. Regular work hours are weekdays, with availability to work from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Case Manager Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of Associate’s degree in human services field.  Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field is preferred.
  • Possess the ability to work with persons with serious emotional disturbance and severe and persistent mental illness.
  • Possess demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to react effectively in a variety of human service situations.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have satisfactory results from criminal history screening, DCF child abuse registry check, adult abuse registry check, and motor vehicle reports.
  • A minimum of one-year work experience in the human services field is desirable.

OUTPATIENT THERAPIST (COUNCIL GROVE)

OUTPATIENT THERAPIST (COUNCIL GROVE) position working with child and adult clients in an outpatient and school-based setting.The position will provide individual therapy; conduct clinical intake assessments at the time of clients’ intake to program; design and implement a comprehensive plan of care for clients; collaborate with agency staff and community service providers to coordinate referrals and delivery of services; and complete discharge procedures for clients who have terminated treatment services.

The position is based in Council Grove, Kansas and some travel is required. The Outpatient Therapist position reports to the Region II Manager.

Behavioral Health Therapist Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, professional counseling, or closely related field.
  • Must hold licensure with the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board. If candidate is eligible for licensure with the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board, they must obtain license before the Center will offer a Therapist position.
  • Licensure at the clinical level is preferred. (LSCSW or LP LICENSE is preference).
  • Possess the ability to work with children with serious emotional disturbance and adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
  • A minimum of one year work experience in the human services field is desirable, but not required.
  • Travel is required. Therapist must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and a motor vehicle record with acceptable results.

Department: Community-Based Services

CASE MANAGER position serves as a student advocate at Emporia High School, assisting students in attaining a level of personal and social adjustment that facilitates achievement of their academic goals. Case Manager assists others in establishing a safe and orderly classroom, helps to eliminate student attendance problems, and leads collaborative teams in discussing student strengths, needs, services, and supports. This position works closely with school staff and administration, families, and community agencies to provide a successful educational experience for each student.

The Case Manager position is based in Emporia, Kansas and will report to the Community-Based Services Coordinator. Regular work hours are weekdays, with availability to work from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

INSURANCE SPECIALIST

Department: Billing

INSURANCE SPECIALIST position administering third-party insurance billing functions of mental health services by verifying entry of payor sources in electronic client files, confirming eligibility and benefits of insurers for clients, submitting claims to insurance companies, and posting insurance payment amounts to individual client accounts.  Other duties include obtaining treatment service authorizations from insurers by acquiring authorization information from clinical staff and monitoring treatment authorizations that are due to expire, troubleshooting service claim problems by utilizing reports within the computer billing program, and assisting registration department staff with questions regarding coverage, provider eligibility, and financial information.

The Insurance Specialist position is based in Emporia, Kansas and will report to the Billing & Finance Manager. Regular work hours are weekdays, with availability to work from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Insurance Specialist Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of High School Diploma. Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree from an accredited college is desirable, but not required.
  • Possess competency in conducting highly-organized and detail-oriented work.
  • Ability to work with large volumes of information in an efficient manner.
  • Possess interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to handle and respect confidential, sensitive information.
  • Must possess prior computer experience in Microsoft Office programs and moderate to advanced computer fluency.
  • Previous work experience in performing insurance and healthcare billing is preferred.

MEDICATION MONITORING ASSISTANT

Department: Medication Clinic

MEDICATION MONITORING ASSISTANT part-time position providing quality medication monitoring to clients by traveling to client residences twice daily and coordinating with pharmacies to ensure that medications are always up to date and filled in a timely manner. Other duties include meeting with clients weekly to refill locked medication boxes, coordinating services between pharmacies, Medication Clinic, and nursing staff, and ensuring that clients’ treatment teams are aware of any client changes.

The Medication Monitoring position is based in Emporia, Kansas and will report to the Nurse Proxy.

Medication Monitoring Assistant Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent and one year college coursework in the human services field OR one year experience in the human services field.
  • Travel is required. Worker must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and a motor vehicle record with acceptable results.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Possess interpersonal skills and ability to react effectively in a variety of human service situations.
  • Ability to handle and respect confidential, sensitive information.
  • Ability to work with persons with serious emotional disturbance and persons with severe and persistent mental illness.
